How long will my order take?

Most orders complete within 90 minutes once payment clears. A few things outside our control can add time — your bank's processing schedule, blockchain network congestion, and identity checks on first-time orders.

Payment methods and times

Banxa offers a number of ways you can complete your cryptocurrency purchase. Not all methods are available in all countries, so please confirm you have access to a specific payment method. 

When choosing your payment method, please consider the required processing time as this may impact the speed of your purchase being fulfilled. In some cases, the money will display as deducted from your account, but there is a time delay for this to reach our account/s and be verified. 

* First-time transfers with some banks may take longer. If your bank shows the amount as deducted but Banxa hasn't confirmed receipt yet, this is normal — your bank releases funds on its own schedule.

Order expiry

Orders will expire 72 hours after creation if we haven't received your payment. We expect you to initiate payment within 12 hours of placing your order. Taking into account payment times, this allows the funds' receipt to be confirmed within the time frame.

Credit and debit card pre-authorisations

If you pay by card, your bank places a pre-authorisation hold — not a final charge. We finalise the charge when your order is fulfilled. You won't be charged twice.

Troubleshooting

If payment shows "Instant" but you still haven't received your crypto yet, check your transaction on chain for confirmations.
